The late Kato Lubwama’s will will be read next month on the 17th during the staging of Ceasefire, a play that he spearheaded.
According to MP Muhammad Nsereko, Kato’s best friend, “Kato did not have so many people he trusted apart from four, including myself so we all decided that the best place and time for his will to be read is during the staging of Ceasefire at Kampala Serena hotel,” Nsereko clarified during a press conference.
It is still at the same press conference that Charles Senkubuge Siasa explained the delay in staging the play.
“We have postponed staging this play twice until we agreed on 17. We first thought it was easy to replace Kato’s character, but we were mistaken. It has been so hard but luckily we managed. The other reason is that we needed to include his tribute in the play so we had to find the perfect timing,” Senkubuge, who is the chairman of the project, said.
