Diamond Platnumz is in Uganda ahead of the Comedy Store fundraising show happening tomorrow at Kololo Airstrip. During a press conference at Mestil Hotel this morning, the Wasafi Records boss was asked why he doesn’t collaborate with East African artistes apart from those signed to Wasafi Records and those he has dated. The ‘Yayapita’ singer responded by saying he has a song with Spice Diana and Eddy Kenzo. He however noted that he would love it if he had a project with Jose Chameleone because he is his role model.
“It would be a dream come true for me to have a song with Chameleone because he is my idol,” Diamond said.
Diamond will perform alongside Kenya’s Nameless, Uganda’s Winnie Nwagi, Nsaba Grey, Spice Diana, Zex Bilangilangi, Alien Skin, Karole Kasita, King Saha, Daddy Andre, Eezy as well as comedians MC Mariachi, Madrat and Chiko, Maulana and Reign among others at Kololo Airstrip.
The Comedy Store Foundation was launched in April 2022, with the objective of running programs aimed at facilitating youth skilling and mentorship as well as positively impacting the society within which Comedy Store Uganda operates.
The Foundation currently runs three key programs namely; the annual Home of Hope Charity football match, the Comedy Auditions Program, and the Youth Training and Mentorship Program.
