Ugandan musician Pius Mayanja, known by his stage name as Pallaso said Thursday that cancellation of his London gig at “last minute was a big test” to him “and my team but we are still strong.”
Pallaso was scheduled to perform at the Purple Party London Edition on June 24, 2023, organised at The Royal Regency Hall alongside. He was set to share the stage with his nemesis Alien Skin, Azawi, David Lutalo and Mikie Wine, among other artistes.
Alien last night said he would not appear on the stage if Pallaso was set to perform at the same event because he doesn’t have to anything to prove to anyone.
Moments later, the organisers said they had removed Pallaso from the list of performers.
The Malamu singer on Thursday afternoon took to his social media platform to express his disappointment before apologizing to his fans.
“Hello my people in London, a decision has been made to cancel my performance at the Purple party in London. While I recognize that this news is disappointing, I hope you can understand and respect the decision just like I have. I apologize to those who have made special arrangements to attend and support me. This uncertain last minute cancellation has tested me and my team but we are still strong. I have been through the worst, and it always gets better. Thank you to all the Promoters that have reached out to reschedule new London dates for me and my people to meet on another great day. I will communicate in case we have anything confirmed. Asides that please go out and support the rest of the performers. I am sure the purple party in London will still be amazing,” he said.
According to the notice, the cancelation followed a public scene in which Pallaso confronted and slapped Alien weeks back.
