Alien Skin cancels London gig over Pallaso’s performance

Budding Ugandan musician Mulwana Patrick, known by his stage name as Alien Skin is still making news on the music scene with the latest development being his refusal to perform in London this weekend.

Alien Skin was set to perform at the Purple Party London Edition on June 24, 2023, organised at The Royal Regency Hall alongside artistes such as his nemesis Pius Mayanja, alias Pallaso, Azawi, David Lutalo and Mikie Wine, among others.

The musician who would be on his first flight ever by now revealed on Wednesday evening that he had cancelled his performance for his international gig after having consultations with his management team.

Alien Skin had earlier declared that he would not perform at the same show with Pallaso.

The Sitya Danger singer said he received feedback from the promoter of the show that his nemesis was removed from the list of the performers.

He was, however, surprised to learn that Pallaso’s visa to travel to UK was also processed with just a few days to the show.

“My music is not about proving anything. I still have my time, London is not going anywhere and planes are still flying. Therefore, I will take time and apologise to my fans. Even if I have four of them there and I will let them know that I will not make it to London,” said Alien Skin while appearing on a local TV shows.

“My management and the promoters of the London show had a sleepless night because they were trying to cancel everything. Most times I say my things but many people take me for granted. If I say that I am not going to do something, I mean it,” he added.

There was also a notice circulating on social media that Pallaso would not perform at the event due to unforeseeable circumstances that were raised by the management of the venue where the show will be staged. According to the notice, the cancelation followed a public scene in which Pallaso confronted and slapped Alien weeks back.

The Purple Party London Edition is organised by the Purple Party brand owned by media personality, Douglas Mwanga, among others and sponsored by Jose Jobs Link.
