Nothing brings together business minds these days like the game of golf. Known to many as a gentleman’s game, it is also one that takes itself seriously, for instance, it is just a game, most of them do not see a reason for getting dirty while on duty. Thus on an ordinary game day, you will find a player equally as smart as the fan.

On Saturday, East Africa’s oldest golf club, the Entebbe Golf Club was host to the I&M Bank Invitational Golf Tournament, a blend of golf, dining, networking and entertainment.

Of course, the day started off with a tournament that brought together people from different walks of life such as the Attorney General Kiwanuka Kiryowa, media moguls and well wishers.

Katogo is a team amongst Entebbe Golf Club members that usually rivals another team, Kabalaza. The competition is all good since it goes beyond the golf course but to impact surrounding areas.

On Saturday though, it was about golf and entertainment, thanks to the sounds of Janzi Band who entertained guests with familiar covers of reggae and popular Ugandan classics. If the patrons were not dancing to the music, they were joining the band to sing along. The quarterly tournament was taking place for the second time after it debuted in January.
