I’ll make love to you, On bended knees, End of the road, One sweet day, a song for mama, Pass you by and water runs dry are some of the songs by singing group Boyz II men and these are some of the songs that the trio will be performing in Uganda on June 11 at Kololo independence grounds courtesy of Capital FM and Johnnie Walker.
The iconic R&B group will be live in concert at the launch of the Yetu Festival and the announcement was made earlier today during a press conference at Serena Hotel Kampala.
Boyz II Men will first perform in Kenya on June 10 before they fly into Uganda for their first ever concert.
The group has always redefined popular music and continues to create timeless hits that appeal to fans across all generations. They are also known for having performed some of the most celebrated and best-known classics of the past two decades.
Tickets will strictly be sold on mobile money and online starting next week on May 9.
Kenya’s Sauti Sol will also be curtain raising for the American group and when asked which Ugandan acts will also be gracing the stage, Capital Radio’s CEO Peter Mungoma said they are still contemplating on which particular artiste to bring on the table for this experience.
Tickets go for 200k main area, Silver 300k and 5Million a table.
Boyz II Men is an American vocal harmony group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, best known for emotional ballads and a cappella harmonies. They are currently a trio composed of baritone Nathan Morris,Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman.
Initially, they were four members including Michael Mc Cary who left the group in 2003 due to health issues which were eventually diagnosed as multiple Sclerosis.
