With the formation of a new artiste federation, no one has come out to speak about it apart from Sheebah Karungi, who was elected as one of the vice presidents of the federation, and it looks like she has also taken up the PR and communications role.
Well, with so many questions and few answers, at least the ‘Nkwata Bulungi‘ artiste came out and gave us an insight into the federation, saying it was formed for a good cause and that artistes will benefit from it.
“We need copyright as artistes. We have not gotten anything out of caller tunes for years. Some of us have invested in music since we were young but other people are enjoying our sweat. So we have formed a federation that will protect artistes, among other things,”Karungi said.
