Rahmah Nanyanzi, alias Rahma Pinky, might be having her way around the music industry but a few years ago, she was fighting depression after getting married at an early age.
The former Team No Sleep artiste got married at 16 years but regrets the one year she spent with him because it was an abusive marriage.
“I was young when I got married to a 50-year-old. He used to lock me inside the house every time he moved out. I could not report the case to police because I thought they would not be of help. There was a lot of violence. I remember I refused to give him my phone and he ordered me to undress, poured water on me and whipped me. Then there is a time he pulled out a gun on me because I refused to give him my phone,” said the Picha artiste during a recent interview while on The Deep Talk.
