Every video has the ‘It factor’. Sometimes it is the costumes, sometimes it is the lighting, sometimes it is the storyline. For Nince Henry’s Abalungi Bawedeyo, it is the vixens, Bad Black and Usher, the two love birds.
They take full ownership of the storyline. They dissolve into this video, into every scene – it was more than just a music video for them. It is a lived experience, a moment they try to freeze in time. You could tell the magic is natural, they blend in with Nince Henry’s calm takes.
Beyond the vixens, there is not much to kill for. Not the costumes (Nince Henry has always died for the floral shirts). Not the effects, nothing superior exists to that aspect. There is only one redeeming factor; the characters in the video, their composure, and their transition from scene to scene. Simplicity will always deliver the best storyline.
