Musician Pallaso is over the moon after the King of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi invited him to perform at his 68th birthday celebrations.
In the video shared by Pallaso on his social media platforms, the Kabaka is heard revealing that he enjoys listening to artist’s lockdown hit dubbed “Malamu.”
“There’s a song that I usually listen to while working out and it thrilled me. That’s why I asked my son Junju (Prince Junju) if he knew the musician and he said yes. I told him to invite him to the birthday celebrations to sing for us. He is called Pallaso,” said the King on his birthday
Overwhelmed with emotions at the fete, the Happy Birthday singer, real name Pius Mayanja who was short of action, crawled to the king’s table where he was met with a royal handshake before he performed for the king and his guests.
After the performance, Pallaso took to his social media platforms and said: “As the first Artist to be introduced, recognized and appreciated by the Kabaka of Buganda Personally, I want to say to the young people out there, there are going to be people along the way who try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you will look around and you will know it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”
