Twelve regions to be represented at Miss Tourism 2023

The crowning of this year’s Miss Tourism will take place on September 9, at Kampala Serena. The 11th edition of the annual beauty pageant will have representatives from 12 regions.

Among the regions include the West Nile, Northern region, Eastern region, Central, Busoga, and Western region which will all be represented to get one winner that will be crowned Miss Tourism 2023/24.

The outgoing Miss Tourism is Sydney Kavuma who also represents the central region and during the launch of this year’s edition said that it has been an honor being Miss Tourism and calls upon girls to participate.

Speaking at the launch of the event at Explorers Hub in Kololo, C.E.O Miss Tourism Ayisha Naguddi said that Miss Tourism doesn’t only produce Queens but also Tourism Ambassadors.

“Most of these girls are promoting Tourism through different projects. We have seen the Rolex Festival, one of the biggest Events started by Enid Mirembe, a former Miss Tourism Queen. Others are into tours and Travel,” she said.

The launch was not all about speeches but some entertainment which came from Smile Cultural Dance Troupe which was started by 2019 Miss Tourism Talent Sandra Nabagala. They did cultural dances from different parts of Uganda to the delight of the audience.
