“I will be rewarding artistes with a house in my awards. My team and I are going to buy land and in March we shall kick off the building process with the help of sponsors. The president will be giving out the land title on the 2nd day of January in 2024 to the top artiste and that will be the case every year,” that is a statement that Bebe Cool made in December last year.
This he said has been a result of artistes working hard but not getting anything tangible out of their careers.

His statements came a few days after the release of his annual Bebe Cool list which he has been releasing for the past five years.
This particular year would have been the ground-breaking year for his promise to the industry only that he is contemplating holding back his highly anticipated gesture.
In a video clip, Bebe Cool is thinking twice about coming forth with his promise because of what he says is ‘luck of quality music’.
“I am even confused about whether to give out an award next year. I have been looking for sensible music lately but can’t find any. I am not in these awards, Chameleone is not in them and neither is Afrigo, Kenzo, and Juliana so who should I give the award to?” the Gagamel boss asked.
“It is better I don’t give it out because I can’t be a logical artiste to come out and build a house and give it out to an artiste who sings ‘Chayi Wenjayi’. I won’t do that. The direction of music and information in that song will instead divert my kids to weed,” Bebe added.
