Events promoter Abbey Musinguzi alias Abitex sent an intention to sue artiste Serena Bata for alleged breach of contract through his lawyers. He did not stop at that but went ahead to warn media houses and media personalities to stop with immediate effect playing her songs that were recorded when she was signed under him.

In a post on social media, Abitex named the above-mentioned songs and said that they are all registered with Uganda Service Bureau as his property.

“I Abbey Musinguzi aka Abtex Promotions notify every Promoter, Media house, and Media personalities not to play at any one time the following songs, associated with Serena Bata, which are; Bikalubye jointly recorded with Chris Evans, Single and It’s Okay, Rukundo recorded and sung with Ray G, Ewange recorded and sung with Geosteady, Ebisenge recorded and sung with Peace Lalisa, Gwantama recorded and sung with Nina Rose, Ofunye Omusoga jointly sung with Yaled..and Omulala, which are all registered with Uganda service Bureau as the property of Abbey Musinguzi aka Abtex Promotions, he posted.

The promoter further added that Serena Bata is free to perform the songs she recorded with her old management, but is prohibited by law from performing any of the aforementioned songs.

“Any person who will breach this directive shall face the long arm of the law.”
