Sheebah Karungi sets new record in uganda’s music industry

Sheebah Karungi

Singer Sheebah Karungi has yet again proven that she is indeed the reigning queen of Uganda’s music industry.

Sheebah’s YouTube channel has hit 100 million views. This milestone marks yet another remarkable achievement in her career.

Sheebah’s 2014 hit ‘Twesana’ helped her reach 100 million overall views mark on YouTube. This cemented her status as one of Uganda’s top musical acts.

A grateful Sheebah made the announcement through her social media platforms on Tuesday, March 28, saying she is excited for being the first female Ugandan artiste to make this record.

“I want to take a moment to thank my fans for the continuous love and support. Because of you, I am the first Ugandan female artiste to hit 100 million YouTube views. Thank you for believing in me. We are in it to make history,” she said.

In 2010, Sheebah embarked on a solo career after parting ways with the now-defunct Obsessions Music Group.

Her career was wholly opened up after the 2014 release of ‘Ice Cream’ and she hasn’t looked back since.

Sheebah’s departure from her previous management Team No Sleep sparked rumors that it would be the end of her career, yet she exceeded all expectations and is still going strong.
