Singer Myco Chris’s daughter wins UK kids music talent show

Israella Chris is the daughter of Myco Chris and the granddaughter of Sammy Kasule while her mother is Alex Mukulu’s daughter

Uganda should have the bragging rights because as you read this, Israella Chris, daughter to gospel musician Myco Chris is the winner of the Voice Kids Music Talent show.

The 14-year-old wowed judges after putting up an impressive performance in her rendition of ‘How Great Thou Art’ originally done by Elvis Presley but her version was done by Carrie Underwood.

She was crowned a few days ago by host Emma Willis and her win earned her a trip to the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.

However, Emma Willis also revealed that all three finalists would be getting this trip as well.

“I want to thank these guys over here,’ she said, referring to her fellow finalists. ‘You guys brought the fire this year!” she said after winning.

Israella Chris is the daughter of Myco Chris and the granddaughter of Sammy Kasule while her mother is Alex Mukulu’s daughter.

Myco has been based in the UK and is famed for songs like ‘Zino Enaku’ alongside Radio and Weasel among others.
