While addressing journalists at Zone 7, Bugolobi in Kampala Brenda Nanyonjo, the CEO of Miss Uganda revealed that regional auditions will be starting on the 9th of January.

“With effect from January 9, West Nile auditions will be held and the winner will be announced on January 11. From there, the auditions will then go to northern Uganda on the 12th and the winner will be crowned on the 14th in Gulu,” she said.

From Gulu, they will continue to Fort Portal on January 20 and crown the winner on the 22nd before heading to Masaka from January 27 to the 29th. Jinja from February 3rd to the 5th and then Kampala for the final pre-selection from February 8th to the 9th.

The 2019/2023 Miss Uganda personality Clare Gift Kabahemba, urged interested contestants to bring their A-game during the regional tours.

“Do not be scared of yourselves because this is a chance for you to show off your confidence. Come and compete,” she said.

For the first time, they have also introduced a registration fee of Shs 20,000 which every contestant will pay when they come to audition.

The journey to the Crown starts airing in January on StarTimes’ Makula Channel at 8 pm from Friday to Sunday.
