In an interview on Wasafi Radio, Diamond Platnumz inadvertently revealed that the rumors about him not being the father to Hamisa Mobetto’s son might be true after all.
Four weeks ago, a popular radio personality and comedian, Mpoki, received a scathing barrage of insults from Hamisa after claiming in a not-so-cryptic story on air, that Dylan was not Diamond’s child.
The issues surrounding the paternity of the child have been raised ever since he was born, with some being outright jokes, but this particular one has stuck due to Diamond’s response on Friday, December 30, 2022, when he was asked about the saga by Lil Ommy, in Wasafi’s popular The Switch program,
“The mother always knows better who the father of her child is. I only knew my real father when I was older, and I hate for this child to go through this. He is innocent. I will continue to provide help whenever needed, just like I always do for people I have no blood relation. I was raised by people who were not biologically related to me.”
The baby in question was one of the reasons for the breakup between Zari and Diamond in 2018, as the singer’s mother secretly visited Hamisa after giving birth, despite him publicly denying being the child’s father. Mama Diamond then fell out with Hamisa when the model brought the story to the media, and they never got along again to date. Diamond also went through a similar situation as a child.
Born Naseeb Abdul Juma, Diamond found out in the 2000s from his mom that Mzee Abdul was not his biological father. He says he always resisted the urge to tell him the truth whenever the old man complained about the famous singer not helping him. In 2021, Naseeb’s mom revealed on Wasafi Radio that her son’s real father died years ago, which shocked fans and left Mzee Abdul in utter shock. It sure was relieving for Platnumz, since he did not have to give the news to Mzee Abdul himself.
