Hussein Mulindwa is the owner of a 50 by 100 plot of land in Nagalama after emerging as the winner in the annual Talk and Talk show podium that happened on Saturday at Tavern Woods Kabusu.
Mulindwa, collected 53 points to emerge the winner and was closely followed by Ronald Bukko who got 46 points. In third was Ashiraf Ssempijja with 44 points while Henry Kayemba came fourth garnering 38 points.
The land was not the only prize he won but also took home other prizes including electric appliances like flat iron, a percolator, and a 32-inch flat-screen among others.
Other participants also got several gifts from the different sponsors of the show including a cash prize and appliances as well.
Speaking about his victory, Mulindwa said he did a lot of research on different entertainment topics after getting knocked out in the quarter-finals of the competition before Covid.
“I thought I knew it all when I participated in the previous edition of the Talk and Talk show podium but did not progress. I changed strategy and did a lot of research in Daily Monitor’s sQoop magazine and prepared well on other sources to be sure and it has finally paid off,” he said.
He also added that he was forced to participate because he knows the value of the land.
“I know how important it is to possess the land and when I knew that the winner would walk away with land, I immediately got interested. Just being asked some questions and you walk away with a piece of land with a land title, it does not come any easier than this.”
The Talk and Talk show podium is an initiative by Dembe FM as a means of giving back to society through a quiz on all entertainment topics.
The quiz happens every year from August to December and airs every Saturday during the Talk and Talk show program.
