Most musicians will tell you they were paid drinks at their first gigs in music, while others will tell you they just got transport money.
Ragga Dee must be one lucky guy if what he said is anything to go by.
The ‘Ndigida’ artiste said he got $10,000 (Shs36, 000,000) as his first payment in the music industry. It was paid to him by a Congolese promoter back in the day.
“When I had just started singing, there is a Congolese promoter who took me to Arua and paid me $10,000 for my performance,” he said.
Ragga Dee added that he used the money to go to the UK and he started importing cars. The business brought profits instantly.
He had done this to prove to his father who did not want him to do music that music too could be profitable.
