On the red carpet: The annual event that is highly attended by stars, the style showcase by the stars was giving what it should have – glam!
There are possibly three or four high fashion events high up on my bucket list and the British Fashion Awards are one of them. While everyone brought their best fashion foot forward at the awards at the weekend, there are those who rose to the occasion.
- Stormzy in Burberry
Dapper has never been more definite than it has been with this look. The British rapper was fully decked out in this black-themed Burberry look, which he accessorised with shades, gloves and neck scarf. This look is a win because it is effortless and well-put together.
- Burna Boy in Burberry
Fresh off his holiday campaign with the British fashion house, it was no surprise that it was Burna Boy’s choice for the event was something from the brand. He was dressed in a monotone look, and his studded tie and bomber gave this look an easy style touch to it. .
- Jodie Smith-Turner
It is Jodie’s fashion world and the rest of us are simply finding our way through it. The actress opted for a bright green gown by Gucci, that was heavily detailed with frills and completed with her blond hairdo. It is the melanin popping here for us!
- Maya Jama in Sabina Bilenko
This was without a doubt one of the best looks of the night because it is chic, stunning and very much red carpet-approved.
The television host accessorised her look with a layered neckpiece and round-brim hat, which is not one of those accessories that would come to mind for a red carpet-look, but I love how well this was executed.
- Jourdan Dunn in Stephane Rolland
The organza and sheer drama moment is a red carpet moment we are here for and supermodel Jourdan wears this so well. An unforgettable fashion moment!
