Despite being a Member of Parliament, Dr Hilderman’s heart still belongs to the music industry. The Mawokota North MP, real name Hillary Kiyaga, might not be releasing music every now and then but he has decided to invest in a studio that he named Wokota Studios, which he will be opening this month.
“I have been constructing a modern recording studio at my residence in Kalagala, Mpigi. I was so challenged meeting transport costs to Kampala, plus looking for expensive recording fees for a good recording studio when I was beginning my musical journey,” Hilderman said, adding that he had promised then that the next Hilderman in Mawokota would not go through hell to realise a big dream.
“Being an Arts shadow minister, I want to be an example to other colleagues, if we manage to have moderate modern studios, talents undiscovered shall be sheltered because content is the next gold,” he said.
