Maddox Sematimba, Henry Tigan to headline Reggae on the Nile

2022 has seen the return of many events after a lockdown of two years and among those events making a return is Reggae on the Nile.

After a two-year hiatus, Uganda’s biggest reggae festival returns bigger and better with new sponsors including NTV Uganda.

It looks like the break-off was used to evaluate the festival which will be held from November  4th to 5th, 2022 at Bujowali Njeru on the western banks of the River Nile.

In a press conference held at UMA show grounds Lugogo, it was said that the two-day event will have workshops and culture seminars, themed rafting and tubing, camping, art exhibitions, and finally music from some of Uganda’s leading reggae artistes including Maddox Sematimba, Henry Tigan, New generation, Zex Bilangilangi Abeeka Band, Cultural dance groups as well as Performers from Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Jamaica.

The Nile Special organized event is aimed at promoting Music and culture with a theme growing musically across genres and most notably reggae. It also harmonizes three critical aspects of reggae entertainment; Music, culture, Art, and Tourism.
