Ykee Benda learning from previous mistakes

Ykee Benda

Despite the disappointment from Dre Cali when he mysteriously disappeared to Canada to seek greener pastures, Ykee Benda still has some faith in the industry and wants to contribute the best way he can. The Mpaka Records CEO has embarked on a project that he believes will benefit the industry and his music label.

“We have started an affiliate programme to tackle the issue of investing in talent. Many artistes out there have managers or sponsors but do not know the system, which I believe I have learnt to a great extent. So instead of investing, we want to avail our services to such artistes, both local and international and our very first talent under this programme kicks off this October,” he said.

Not to go through the same heartbreak as before, with this project, Ykee Benda is not going to invest in the artiste but it is the artiste who will come with the sponsor and money and all they will do as a label is the pushing. Besides that, he is also organising a festival on December 17, titled Kigampala Festival.
