Yesse Oman Rafiki returns with message of hope

Yesse Oman Rafiki

Songwriter and artiste Yesse Oman Rafiki recently released his new song titled Education For All, a song that calls upon children to consider education as a priority. The artiste urges Ugandans to consider educating the younger generation if the future is to be secured.

Asked whether the timing of the song was good given that students are all back at school, Yesse Oman Rafiki told us the timing was perfect.

“I saw school children spend two years without getting a proper education due to Covid-19. Yes the economy was re-opened and schools resumed but many children are not at school anymore because their parents can no longer afford school fees or they got employed and started. With this song, I look at the advantages of having proper education and it also inspires parents to continue paying school fees for their children,” he said.

The business computing graduate from Makerere University Business School (MUBS), referred to himself that it’s through education that he’s where he is today because of education.

“Even if you are a talented person, you need the education to make your works saleable to the corporate world. Education is the best gift to the girl child. It brings out the lion in them,” he added.
