A few days ago, Galaxy FM DJ Nimrod Nabeeta expressed his feelings on why he finds it ironic when Ugandan Musicians post Juliana Kanyonmozi’s show. According to him, she never posts any other artistes’ shows.
In a social media post, Nimrod said: “She doesn’t deserve the support she doesn’t give.”
UBC television’s Calvin Kalule alias Calvin Da Entertainer shared a post in support of DJ Nimrod. He however said that some people earned the respect accorded them.
“Nimrod actually has a point, we should practice the love we preach and stop the double standards otherwise we shall have many save Ugandan music campaigns which will certainly yield little or no results as Nigerians and the rest cash out. That said, some people earned the respect we accord them. Many lessons to learn,” he said
Nimrod’s post has also brought to light the generous character of Juliana that she has been hiding from her left hand.
Through a social media post shared on her fans page, the handler listed why Juliana gets all the love and support she receives from the music industry.
Her fans say she offers emotional, moral, and financial support privately and never comes out to brag about it.
“…When Evelyn Lagu was interviewed on Bukedde TV, she talked about Juliana helping her. Personally, I was shocked simply because I have never seen the two together. Same with Patrick Mujuuka saying he was shocked to see her at his mum’s burial. Martha Kay said JK was offering emotional support to her during the Nudes leakage, Pallaso saying Juliana was there for them throughout Radio’s hospitalization ( RIP ), Anatalia saying Juliana supported her during her campaign…” reads part of the post.
On the same page, fans continue to share screenshots of posts from Juliana’s official page. The posts are of Juliana calling out fans to go support different artistes at their concerts.
Musicians Grace Khan, and Ruth Nyendo disclosed that Juliana is the inspiration behind their music journeys. Music analyst James Propa also has something to say on the matter.
“Why would anyone say Juliana doesn’t support other artists, especially at their concerts? That’s the problem with people who are supposed to be in the DJ booth but end up with a mic and on air,” he said.
Catherine Kusasira says Juliana has every right to keep her distance from fellow artistes.
“I will stand with JK for distancing herself away from people. And most especially we as Uganda musicians we are hypocrites,” she said.
