I almost lost my life- Zulanda narrates ordeal

Artiste and song writer Zulanda has been nursing wounds for a week now after thugs beat him up along with a friend on their way home last Monday evening.

The former Swangz Avenue artiste suffered a fractured skull, swollen eye and bruises but will be okay according to the doctors.

Asked what happened during the night, Zulanda said that they were attacked in Bunga on their way back from the market.

“I was shopping with a friend at Bunga market and when we were done, a group of boys snatched his baseball cap from his head. I was walking behind him and when he tried to get it back, they started hitting him. Before I could intervene, another one tried to snatch my Hublot watch but I was able to hold it night and put it in my pocket but suddenly they turned on me, hitting me with everything they could find,” narrated Zulanda.

He further said that he fought back at any given chance but they were many. They were only saved by some people passing by who saw what was happening.

“After gaining consciousness, I went to IHK and they told me my skull had been damaged especially on the eye region but they said I would be okay,” he assured us.

Born Julius James Baker Ssembuusi, Zulanda is the brains behind songs like Irene Ntale’s Nkubukinze, Stay With Me, Love letter, Easy, Ono Omwana, Winnie Nwagi’s Embera, Kyowulira and Obudde by Lilian Mbabazi among others but he also has a couple of songs including Under Cover, Hey Baby, Long Kick and Mukwano Gwo along with Nwagi.
