Fik Fameica makes a statement at Africana

Fik Fameika

Things didn’t go as expected four years back at Kyadondo rugby grounds for rapper Fik Fameica but last Friday evening, he had the last laugh as thousands flocked to his concert.

After getting endorsements from several celebrities including former presidential aspirant Bobi Wine and his wife Barbie, the anticipation surrounding this concert was high coupled with good weather, an accessible venue and affordable charges.

By 4pm, people had started lining up outside the venue and they kept entering until 10:30pm when Fameica stepped on stage.

Earlier performances had come in from Grenade and Rahma Pinky, Zex Bilangilangi, Vyper Ranking, Martha Mukisa, Fille and Geosteady and many more artistes.

Clad in a lit white suit paired with white sneakers, Fik Fameica being backed by Akadope band started off his performance with ‘Am Different’, following up it ‘Fresh and Clean’. He then thanked the crowd for turning up in huge numbers and how it means so much to him.

Other songs he performed include ‘Lov Lov’, ‘Muko’, ‘Omu bwati’, ‘Mbega waa Bala’ and ‘Kutama’ among others. Midway through his performances, he was joined by Vinka with whom they performed ‘Tubikole’, ‘Ready’ with Spice Diana and ‘Majje’ alongside Azawi.

Fik Fameica performed for three sessions, each time changing outfits and climaxed his show with ‘Buligita’.

But earlier on, Bobi Wine, Barbie, Solomon Kampala and Nubian Li’s attendance didn’t leave the crowd the same. They chanted Bobi Wine’s name and the situation was even made worse when the deejay played some of his songs including Singa, number one among others. This was the highlight of the night.
