Singing boy group B2C has expressed concern about sharing the same concert date with songbird Juliana Kanyomozi and is asking her to change concert dates if possible.
In an interview with Spark TV, Mr. Lee, one of the members of the singing trio said that much as no musician has ownership of any day, it would be musically healthy for them to hold concerts on different dates.
“If you haven’t yet proceeded with the preparations, we are requesting for your presence at our event and in return, you organize on another date so that we also come and be part of your concert but if it’s too late, it is still okay. We can both have good shows,” he said
Speaking to a local radio station, Bobby Lash, another member revealed that the situation has caused them to worry but nothing can be done.
“We should have changed dates but we can’t because we have already paid for everything. Maybe they also saw the same date fit for their concert,” he said.
Bobby also revealed that it is the second time the event organizer sets an event on the same date as the B2C
“This is not the first time an organizer is doing this thing, in 2018, we announced our concert and the same organizer for Juliana organized a concert for Morgan Heritage a Grammy-winning Jamaican reggae band on that same day because we had not invested in the concert yet, we changed the date,” Bobby Lash said.”
While Juliana hasn not released a new song in a long time, B2C have had hits back to back since their break through.
The concerts go for toatally different amounts with B2C’s going for Shs10,000 and Juliana’s going for Shs150,000 something that has proved that the two attract totally different crowds.
B2C will be holding the ‘B2C Live In Concert’ concert on August 19 at Freedom City and on the same date Juliana will be entertaining her fans at Serena hotel.
