Allan Kanyike Bwete has been at the helm of Miss Tourism for more than three years but that ride has come to an end. We have been informed Kanyike (R) resigned from that position earlier this week and has been replaced by Marianne Mutagamba, daughter to the late Maria Lubega Mutagamba, who was Uganda’s Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities from 2013 to 2016 until her passing.
We have not yet established the real reason why Kanyike resigned but it is said he failed to meet the expectations of the ministry.
We failed to get hold of Kanyike for a comment on this development but we shall keep you posted when we get any more details on this.
