An all-white toast to the nineteenth hole

There is a golf saying that goes, “Life is good on the 19th hole”. It is a golfer’s way of winding down after playing 18 holes. They leave it all on the greens and get going like it was on Saturday night at the Entebbe Golf Club after round two of the Singleton Golf Challenge.

After closely following the white ball for hours, golfers took a break from their sporty course outfits and set up an all-white spectacle. It was no longer about golf as both winners and the heartbroken came together to dance the cold night away.

The ‘white’ dome oozed freshness and elegance as Janzi Band nailed one song after another with a range of musical interludes from the ‘80s to the trending club anthems.

The evening’s host. Patrick ‘Salvado’ Idringi, kept the atmosphere jovial while DJ Selector Jay also toasted to 18 years in business at the same event, spinning the turntables to keep the dancefloor occupied.

The pick of the night came from Darius Mugisha, a former scribe at Daily Monitor, who recently turned to golf and finally won something after topping the men’s Group C with 45 points.

This was the sixth year of the Singleton Golf Challenge.

On the floor. Not everyday that a girl gets a dance with a Janzi band member. *wink*
