Flex D’paper
Flex D’paper has been in the hip-hop business for a while and he has eventually mastered the art of hip-hop music in Uganda. Flex has released several albums that contain both singles and collaborations.
On December 10, 2021, the rapper released the ‘Kampala Boy’ album which has more than 10 songs and features Ugandan artistes like Sheena Skies, Navio, Fik Fameica, Apass, and Daddy Andre among others. This year, he has returned with an international collaboration featuring Swedish rapper DeeWone.
The song titled ‘Falling’ was mixed by Sam Lamara at Icon studios but produced by Mio Made. ‘Falling’ was officially released last week but had already gathered over 3.5K views on YouTube just after four days.
DeeWone according to Flex is expected in Uganda very soon for the video shot and released since the audio is already doing well in Uganda and Sweden.
DeeWone is a rapper, singer, producer, songwriter, and mixing/mastering engineer based in Stockholm-Sweden. DeeWone is signed to his independent record label Sweet Sound Records and has a publishing deal with Could B Records/Entertainment (US).
He has also placed one of his instrumental tracks in the popular reality show Americas Next Top Model and has produced numerous tracks for VH1 and Bravo TV (US). He’s also been the opening/co-act for/with major artists such as Fabolous and The Game (US), Looptroop, Petter, Dida (SWE) and Navio (UG) to name a few, as well as having performed a lot at clubs, festivals and various events with the famous Swedish urban DJ 2much. He has also done collaborations with a wide variety of artists on a global basis.
With his affiliated company “Sweet Sound Events”, DeeWone and his partner have arranged many successful Hip Hop/R&B/Dancehall/ Afrobeat events, where they have big names such as Bobi Wine, King Saha & Sheeba (UG), Abidaz, Stor, Dogge Doggelito (SWE) and many more performing.
DeeWone has previously released an Afrobeat hit together with one of Uganda’s/East Africa’s most renowned Hip Hop artists Navio and the Ugandan Afrobeat/Zouk superstar Geosteady. The track is produced by OGE Beats (produced for megastars such as Maleek Berry, Eugy, and many more).
