Afrigo Band, Jose Chameleone to headline ‘Leka Tukigule’ concert

If you want value for money when booking artistes, Afrigo band is most definitely the go-to band. That is perhaps why they are booked until May this year.

And among their bookings is the ‘Leka Tukigule’ event that is happening this Saturday at Hotel Africana courtesy of Kashline Investment.

The veteran band will be performing alongside Jose Chameleone, Ykee Benda, and Lydia Jazmine is a family event that will be starting at 2 pm till late.

According to Joanita Kawalya, one of the members of the band, this event is more of giving back to the fans for their many years of support.

“It’s because of people’s support that we have managed to be in this industry for 46-years. We are doing this event to give back to them. Being a family event, you shouldn’t leave home the young ones. Besides the songs you know, we are also going to perform songs you have never heard of,” said Joanita Kawalya at a press conference earlier on at Africana.

Ykee Benda on the other hand said that this is the biggest stage he’s going to be performing at in a very long time and couldn’t wait to sing alongside Uganda’s oldest band.

“Two years without performing for a physical audience, this is the first big event I’m going to be performing at. I’, nervous and excited at the same time because it’s not every day that you share a stage with the Afrigo band,” he said.
