The festive season is upon us and we all know what that means – winding down the year in festivities. The Unmatched in Gold campaign was in Mbarara and they turned things up.
News of her exit from Team No Sleep could not stop Sheebah from putting up a memorable and spirited performance last Wednesday at the revamped Vision Empire during the Nile Special “Unmatched in Gold” campaign in Mbarara District.
The choice to have the former TNS songstress as the headlining act could not have come earlier as fans are gearing up for the eventual opening of the economy in January.
Although Sheebah’s performance found many in a rather dull vibe, her energetic performance forced many out of their seats, especially when she started doing some of her notable songs such as Boy Fire, Nakyuka, Nkutuse, and John Rambo, among others.
Sheebah also showed that she is meant for the stage as she engaged the audience during her short but memorable performance. She called some on stage to join her in what she does best – dancing – while she teased others, which made the evening quite enjoyable.
By the time she left, many were yearning for more from the self-proclaimed Queen Karma.

Before Sheebah, Alex Muhangi set the tone for the evening with a series of jokes performed in Runyakitara. He was home and going by the audience’s response to his jokes, he was the right catch to spice up the evening.
There were other performances from western Uganda acts such as Sister Charity and MC Kacheche, Omega 256 and T-Paul.

For the invited guests, it was an early Christmas as they did not only enjoy the performances but also gulped bottles of Nile Special beer all evening.
The Unmatched in Gold campaign was kickstarted in Jinja last month and during the Jinja launch, the brand toasted to another gold medal winner by unveiling a Sh100m sponsorship package towards the Joshua Cheptegei training facility in Kapchorwa.
