Chameleone, Sheebah, Nwagi to perform at concert to celebrate Uganda’s culture, nature

Several artistes have been listed to thrill fans at a music concert organized to celebrate Uganda’s culture and gift of nature this Friday.

The concert, which is the second edition of Pearl of Africa New Year Celebrations (PANYC) to be held under the theme “Why I Love Uganda” will be airing on Afro Mobile app and showing on various TV stations.

Musicians Winnie Nwagi, Sheebah, Azawi, B2C, Jose Chameleone, Kazibwe Kapo, Kika troupe, Grenade official, Vinka, King Saha and Irene Ntale, among others are expected to perform at the event while Mc Kats, Sheila Salta, Kayz will be hosting it. DJ Mercy Pro and Roja will be behind the decks.

The event will be streamed while showcasing all the various points of celebration across the nation, inclusive of the Jinja Bridge which is set as the peak of the celebration to usher in 2022.

“As we celebrate the New Year, we celebrate the Pearl of Africa context of love embedded within the Ugandan culture, which we intend to spread and trade across the globe through the 2021 edition of the Pearl of Africa New Year Celebrations,” said Joseph Kigozi.

The first edition of the Pearl of African New Year Celebrations event was themed “I Choose Uganda” Envisioning a peaceful Uganda and various Ugandan TV stations, shared the peace message through several stage performances broadcasted on NTV Uganda, NBS Television, UBC TV and Baba TV, crowned with live fireworks at the Jinja Bridge.
