As Eddy Kenzo was making headlines in Lagos for winning the best male artiste in East Africa, Abbas Kaijuka was also making headlines in the fashion pages as his ‘Kais Divo Collection’ brand sqooped the best fashion brand at the 4th edition of the Africa Fashion Awards in Nigeria.
The red carpet event featured exhibitions, runway showcases, cocktail and ballet plus the anticipated awards gala night.
“We bagged another one! I can’t thank you enough; each and every one of you who took the time to vote for me and make this a reality! Thank you African Fashion Awards, Nigeria for honouring me with the ‘Award of best fashion Brand In Africa last night’. This wouldn’t be a reality without my clients, and everybody who has made an effort to support, endorse and approve this brand! My heart is full,” he posted.
This is the second time Kaijuka is winning an award in Nigeria as he won Best Designer of the Year at the MAN Awards in 2019.
