After spending almost two year without operating, bar owners have resorted to give back to the communities as one of the ways to generate income and support their consumers.

The sector operators have underscored the need to re- open the industry as the government continues to contemplate whether bars and the entertainment industry should be opened.

While launching the new promotion dubbed “Club Beat Coin” at Nile Breweries Limited Head Office in Port Bell, Luzira last week. The Country director David Daniel Valencia said the sector should be opened and allow the oppressors to enforce the standard operating procedures to ensure that the spread of Covid-19 is minimized.

“ This will help to boost the country’s economy as well as helping various businesses linked to this sector to slowly recover from the Covid-19 effects,”he said

Mr Valencia, said, Club Pilsner has invested millions in this promotion which will be running for three months.

“Beat Coin is going to be the currency on the beer market in Uganda for the duration of the campaign. Distributors, wholesaler,s and sellers all stand a chance to gain

Mr Valencia added that this is part of giving back to the communities because the country was affected by the covid-19 pandemic and its one of the strategy to activate the retail business inline of implementing the SOPs .

“We need to continue to adhere the covid-19 SOPs because the pandemic is here to stay and as a company we have managed to maintain them at the same time to support our cleints ,”he said.
