Four One One

Nana Kagga and Tracey Kababiito off Prestige and Sanyu productions

L-R: Nana Kagga, Sally Elizabeth Bwamimpeke , Tracey Kababiito and Catherine Namugenyi

Nana Kagga and Tracey Kababiito were some of the big winners at the just concluded Uganda Film Festival awards but unfortunately, the two are no longer part of the Prestige and Sanyu series.

This was after MultiChoice Uganda announced changes in the lead characters on its riveting TV productions Prestige and Sanyu where they introduced Sally Elizabeth Bwamimpeke and Catherine Namugenyi as their replacements respectively.

In a statement that Multichoice issued, the two were unable to reach an arrangement that was deemed favorable for both parties.

“It is with regret to announce that they were unable to reach an arrangement that was deemed favorable for both parties. Pearl Magic Prime remains committed to bringing the best in local programming to viewers and maintaining a great content offering,” MultiChoice Uganda wrote in a statement.

Ava Juliet Productions and Nana Kagga who played Jasmine on Prestige worked towards agreeing to the terms of the renewal of contracts but were unable to reach an amicable conclusion that was deemed favorable for both parties

It is after this that the channel decided to give more actors and young talent an opportunity to also showcase their talent.

Bwamimpeke and  Namugenyi will join the drama series effective 28th June 2021.
