There was a lot of backlash during last year’s Miss Tourism beauty pageant. There was a threat that the winner, Bridget Kyeru, would be dethroned by the CEO of the pageant, Allan Kanyike, after she complained about not receiving her car. The car was eventually handed over to her a year later but those hiccups are what Kanyike says will not be happening this time round.
He said this at the launch of this year’s edition early this week. “Matters have been resolved and there will be respect for beauty queens and cluster heads,” Kanyike said.
This year’s Miss Tourism theme is ‘African pride and will be a virtual show with 25 contestants from different regions.
