Gravity Omutujju trashes new online music distribution App ‘UgaTunes’

Gravity Omutujju has slammed a new music platform launched in the country terming it a waste of time.

A new music distribution platform dubbed UgaTunes was recently launched in the country with its main aim being helping artists distribute their music to international channels as they earn from it.

Speaking during a recent interview, Gravity Omutujju likened UgaTunes to the government’s artiste support fund which he claims was not evenly distributed.

“While coming up, we trusted those companies but we never earned anything because they only gave the big artists. You have tortured us enough, so they should just release us to look for our own money,” he said.

Artistes have been moving up and down looking for different revenue streams after the government banned shows and closed bars due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Gravity, he prefers working hard and earning his money rather than depending on an application.

“I know where I can get my own money from, not from anyone’s app. My songs may be useless according to how you see them but I know how I earn from them. That is the reason our shows are still blocked because these useless apps are promoting their agenda,” Gravity said.
