Maurice Kirya still hangs on to Sound Cup

Six years ago, Maurice Kirya was a big hit. Both on the microphone and in business. He was a darling to many and so was his Sound Cup business at garden city. But in the blink of an eye, the artiste decided to close the Garden city branch and opt for another new at Village Mall in Bugolobi which didn’t really work out as expected.

With Covid-19 hitting the entertainment industry, many artistes have resorted to finding alternative ways of surviving and among those is Maurice Kirya. Not to start all over, the ‘Busabala’ singer has decided to re-invent his Sound Cup business by going international this time round.

“The Sound Cup Coffee, is now available to the world, based in The Netherlands & Uganda, It has been an incredible journey, and I am very happy to have the world enjoying our coffee, it is wonderful to see how it impacts everyone all the way from the farmers to our happy coffee drinkers. I’d like to thank my team of coffee experts, roasters, specialists, Piz & Pots Agency, and all my friends and people that have walked this journey with me to bring this premium brand to life,” Maurice Kirya posted on his social media platforms.

The Sound Cup was founded in 2013 by the Ugandan singer, actor, and coffee enthusiast.
