Plotless for Easter break?

Easter is around the corner. You could have it at home but also have the option of planning to go out somewhere to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Here are some options.

Unwind at Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort 

Serena’s option for the Easter holiday is for you and the family unwinding by the facility that overlooks Lake Victoria.  There will be a Mongolian dinner for Good Friday at the Citadel Restaurant with a deejay playing some soothing music on Easter, guests will be treated to a brunch at the same restaurant. Music is good for digestion, so a saxophonist will be performing. Later in the evening, there will be live band entertainment by Live Cords Band.

‘Family Eastercation’ at Rainforest Lodge

You can make this a tropical Easter holiday by taking your family for an experience in the heart of Mabira tropical forest along the Kampala-Jinja highway. The Rainforest Lodge has organised a cosy brunch with some adventure in the name of ‘the egg hunt around the lush environment. The facility has a swimming pool for the aquatic indulgence.

Brovad Sands Escape to the Ssese Island

You will set off at 9am on Friday from Kampala to Nakiwogo Landing Site in Entebbe, get onto a Speed boat to the islands. The journey will last one hour. You will be checked into Brovad Sands Lodge and have lunch there.  Some of the amenities include swimming, sand building games and a children’s tea party at 4pm. You will get to sip in the lake’s breeze on Saturday and take a guided nature walk and then head to Uganda Wildlife Education & Conservation Centre and a birding excursion. Later in the evening, you can roast fish and watch a movie. Enjoy an Easter Luncheon with a live band on D-day. You will return on Easter Monday.

Live band performance at Bwizi Gardens in Mbarara

Gist Band will be performing live for patrons as they enjoy a sumptuous luncheon, dinner and muchomo at Bwizi Gardens Resort in Mbarara, along the Ibanda Road. You can choose to spend a weekend at the resort which has a bar, restaurant, ensuite rooms and gardens.

Celebrate Easter in the wilderness

You have a choice of staying at Buhoma Lodge on the northern section of Bwindi Forest National Park or Ishasha Wilderness Camp nestled alongside the Ishasha river in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Coffee in the wild

Coffee will be served in the wild side of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The trip starts on Saturday and lasts through to Monday.

Easter Festival at Fairway Hotel

A family can have their Easter treat at Fairway Boutique Hotel. You get to enjoy a poolside barbeque, swimming and a children’s egg hunt and bouncy castles.

Easter Fest at the Beach

It is slated to be a family do at Ssese Habitat Resort in Kalangala. While you sip in the breeze off Lake Victoria, the children will be enjoying the time of their lives at the beach as they play on the bouncy castles, trampolines, beach and water games. The packages will include accommodation, food, morning aerobics session, nature walk, swimming, a photoshoot, camp fire, live band and dinner.

Nyungu Yamawe Forest Park

The newest hideout in town has prepared the Easter Forest Fever starting on Friday until Jesus is risen. You get to choose between the cottages and camping, enjoy bonfire, Easter egg hunt, and roasts.
