With several other businesses slowly regaining momentum after the covid-19 pandemic, restaurants have been having a smooth ride. When the president started loosening up the lockdown, restaurants were opened. This prompted some bars to switch the approach to becoming full time restaurants.
With Silk Lounge closing business in Naalya, there is at least some ray of hope for people in surrounding areas of Namugongo, Kyaliwajala and Kira among others after the Plum café and restaurant opened its doors to the public.
Located at Delight House next to Mogas Naalya, the fine dining restaurant comes with a luxury but affordable touch of Continental and Indian Cuisines. The restaurant launched last weekend and has a 20% discount on all meals throughout the week.
The architectural well thought through design of Plum restaurant is eye catching right from the beautiful furniture, amazing décor, and location to mention but a few which clearly represents class and luxury.
Speaking at the grand opening the General Manager of Plum café and restaurant Ms. Rita Nandala said, Plum Café and restaurant is not an ordinary restaurant. It’s a restaurant that originates from great hands that have a keen eye to detail, great service to give comfort and healthy living being at the heart of it all.
“We have well trained and experienced staff like chefs, waiters, managers and everyone on the team. Our food is meticulously prepared to promote healthy living in terms of cleanliness and the ingredients used. Healthy living is a very crucial topic in our day to day living and at Plum café and restaurant we strive to uphold this with everything we do as we serve our customers. We believe health is wealth and that’s our offer to our customers,” she said.
The restaurant is open to all customers from Monday to Sunday serving all meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also serves customers with special events like birthday, anniversary dinners, graduation, exclusive dinner dates and many others that can be booked with the restaurant front desk.
