If there is one thing the lockdown has taught people, it is to create and look out for side hustles. Among those is singer Sophie Gombya of the “Spare Tyre” fame, who recently shared how she found gold in chapattis, a business that many find outrageous.
“I own about 40 chapatti stalls. The earnings from the stalls have enabled me sail through the difficult Covid-19 year,” Sophie shared during the just-concluded Operation Wealth Creation women’s day meet at National Theatre.
The event led by the operations director Sylvia Owori, was attended by other artistes including Joanita Kawalya, Cindy, Phina Masanyalaze, Sarah Zawedde, Rachael K, Halima Namakula and Annet Nandujja, among others.
