In keeping with growing and investing in the health of young people, Reach A Hand, Uganda (RAHU) and partners last Friday joined the youth in Kampala to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a mobile Love Caravan, that traversed the city sharing Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) information with emphasis on safe sexual behavior and the importance of knowing one’s HIV status.
The Love Caravan-themed “Love Boldly” was geared towards imparting Sexual Reproductive Health knowledge and empowering young people to take positive action towards their health and lives. The Caravan moved through hotspots in Kampala picking up young people and engaging them in conversations on safe sexual behaviour, healthy relationships, and creating HIV/AIDS awareness.
The Love Caravan was a culmination of a two-week online and radio campaign that sought to engage young people in building healthy relationships, safe sexual behavior, and creating HIV/AIDS awareness.
Held under the campaign theme “Love Mu Kibanda”, the love caravan is a RAHU valentine’s day campaign that is designed to create awareness about healthy and safe relationships that climaxed with a Valentine’s Day hybrid concert that featured artiste performances from B2C, Allan Toniks, Naava Grey, Geosteady and more at the Next Media Convention Centre.
