One of last year’s highlight was when two Nigerian artistes were arrested in Uganda for staging a show. While Tems aired out her anger on Twitter about the arrest, Omah Lay did not say a word. His strategy was to use music and now what we hear is that the artiste’s upcoming album is all about events that transpired in Uganda. This, he said while speaking with Ebuka Obi-Ucehndu in one of the episodes of Rubbin’ Minds.
“Uganda was such an experience you know. It’s a lot that happened. I went to Uganda for an event… we went legally. Completely legal. It happened the way it happened. I really cannot start picking out details but there was supposed to be Covid clearance. Everything, as you know, was sorted out before we got there as a matter of fact. It’s something that I learned a lot from and I’ve moved past it already,” he stated in part.
But even with the experience, there was no love lost between the artiste and Uganda as he also made it clear that he has to return to Uganda for another performance but this time when events are eased.
