Kapa Cat spends Shs20m on headphones

As other artistes are looking for ways to get back on stage, singer Kapa Cat is busy expanding her brands. The “Sikyo” singer, real name Catherine Tumusiime, recently introduced a new brand of headphones that are said to have cost her about Shs20m. Asked why she would spend such money, especially in this period, she said it’s all about her brand.

Kapa is said to have partnered with a Chinese company that she couldn’t disclose to customise her headphones line into what she wanted, with rights to them. The headphones have her logo with additional things such as a radio memory card slot, shining extension ears, bluetooth and amplified bass.

“We had earlier sent for 10 samples but a lot was missing so we kept improving them until they came up with the final product. We ordered for 150 pieces which we have started selling,” she explained to us. Asked whether they will be able to make profits, the artiste’s manager told us their focus is on building brand Kapa for the next five years.
