Musician Lydia Jazmine’s love for children can’t go without notice and their love for her is mutual.
She has been celebrating her birthdays with orphanages for the past couple of years and donating food items as well as sharing meals with the kids until she decided to take things a notch higher.
Last week, the Omalawo singer made her dream come true by starting a charity organization.
The artiste through her new found organization, Silent Voices has partnered with Caring Avenue Uganda to start a campaign that will help the less privileged.
“This is an idea I thought about based on my background. Ever since I was eight years old, I was raising five kids so this has been part of me. I promised to make a difference in children on any opportunity I come across and this year, that opportunity presented itself,” said Jazmine.
Her Silent voices campaign is targeting the voiceless and the orphans, among other vulnerable children from different parts of the country.
The project which will be happening for five years and will see teenagers and the youths being taken back to school while others will be participating in different projects to promote their talents in dancing, singing among others.
