The dynamic duo Slick Stuart and Roja

Last night was only known for one plot, the 6th edition of the Mixtape party hosted by Slick Stuart and Roja as the weekend didn’t have any other events lined up. The show that got revelers descending to Lugogo happened at UMA Multipurpose Hall.

Apart from attracting a huge crowd, in the big venue, the show it was well produced and organized. The Mixtape party was not about just the performances from the DJ duo. Artistes Fefe Busi, Fik Fameica, Eddy Kenzo, Spice Diana, Pallaso and Big Tril came on stage and performed some of their hit songs.

The show was also comprised of several dancers, arguably some of the best in Kampala and from different dance genres. Dancers like Eddy Wizzy, Uncle Walter, Philip Buyi and Bienco came on stage together with about 20 others dancers and performed as one group.

They must have taken time to practice some of the dance moves that they did as Slick Stuart and Roja played back to back. The highlight of the night was when the singers took revelers back on a throw back with sings from 2006.

Some of the hit songs from about 15 years ago were played by the dynamic deejaying duo. They not only played the songs but the artistes who sung the songs performed one after the other. Queen Bella came and performed ‘Dodo’, Red Banton did the song ‘Nonya Money’, King Micheal did the song ‘Muko Muko’, Tigan ‘Lwaki Oninza’ and Mesach Ssemakula ‘Sigwe Onsimira’.

Toniks who did a song titled ‘Sunday’ that he featured the duo of SlickStuart and Roja and Bebe Cool aclosed the show at 2am.
