Bobi Wine is a user- King Michael

King Michael Meets President Museveni

Over the last week, two musicians linked to the ‘People Power’ camp visited President Museveni at State House. First, it was Eddy Kenzo after his return from the US with his award, then Jennifer Namutebi aka Full Figure.

However, their meeting with Museveni has sparked controversy, with the People Power calling them a sellout.

To counter the accusations, King Michael, another artiste who recently met President Museveni at Catherine Kusasira’s concert has said he is not surprised that musicians are leaving the ‘People Power’ camp at such a terrific speed.

Talking to Spark TV yesterday, King Michael accused Bobi Wine of using artistes for his personal gain without rewarding them.

“I feel happy when I see people who never loved NRM joining the movement. Full figure used to be a staunch people power supporter and she would abuse me for being part of the NRM, that I am poor and I do not have anything to my name. But I told her that you would know the truth. That Bobi Wine you are fighting for is a user, you do not know him more than I do. He only cares about himself. That is why people are leaving his camp,” he said.

“They sing for him in Busabasla but he doesn’t pay. Even Eddy Kenzo has started to see the light after meeting the President. Bobi Wine should know that many more people are going to leave his camp,” he added.
