At the beginning of this month, news of Rema’s upcoming introduction ceremony hit the webs. To the shock of many, the husband in waiting was not Eddy Kenzo, bringing to light proof of the end of a relationship that has been scrutinised from the time it started.
Just like their relationship, Rema and Kenzo’s separation has received a lot of scrutiny, with many social media counsellors and analysts giving all sorts of explanations as to why the five-year relationship ended.
And now popular traditional healer Mama Fiina has added her voice to the previous relationship counsellors that have given several recommendations and words of counsel to singer Eddy Kenzo who is now apparently single.
Speaking to Spark TV, during Catherine Kusasiira’s concert over the weekend, Mama Fiina advised that Kenzo should quit dating celebrities if he wants to have a successful marriage.
She instead suggested that the singer goes to the village and identify a girl who has been raised and mentored to be a wife.
“Kenzo should not marry a celeb. It is a very bad idea because people see both of you all the time. He should go to Masaka and search among those girls who have gone through the Senga mentorship and counselling,” she said.
“A girl he will get from the village will be patient and ready to be a wife. So that when he goes to America to perform, he can leave her here and go run his errands. When he returns from his overseas errands, he will find this girl waiting for him and will give him good treatment. These celebrities do not settle,” she added.
Singer Eddy Kenzo had been dating Rema Namakula for the last five years. It is said that the two had been having commitment issues until Rema found solace is Hamza Sebunya, a doctor at Mulago Hospital.
Rema and Hamza held a private Nikka Ceremony a few months ago and are now organising their introduction ceremony, scheduled to take place in November.
